The city of Berehove is located in Zakarpattia Oblast, 70 km from Uzhgorod. This small town with a population of almost 24,000 people is famous for its wine-making traditions and sources of medicinal waters. Due to its proximity to the border with Hungary (only 5 km), the town has been significantly influenced by Hungarian culture. Moreover, it was founded by the Hungarian prince Lambert in 1063.
